Notes-a-wocky

with Apologies to Lewis Carroll

Ed Brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and portal in the wabe;
All mimsy were the Bloggergroves,
And Lotusphere outgrabe.

"Beware the WebSpherewock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the DB2 bird,
and shunThe frumious Javasnatch!"

He took his portal sword in hand:
Long time the Exchange foe he sought--
So rested he by the Workplace tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in URLish thought he stood,
The dotNETwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the Spam-filled wood,
And Outlooked as it came!

One two! One two! Pride of Big Blue,
The Domino blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went a-Replicating back.

"And hast thou slain the dotNETwock?
Come to my arms, my Lotus boy!
O Eclipse day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his NSF joy.

Ed Brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and portal in the wabe;
All mimsy were the Bloggergroves,
And Lotusphere outgrabe.

For the Lotus Notes/Domino community.

Inspired by a recent visit to Jabberwocky Variations -- read the original poem there (and other variations), then see if you too can go one better than Lewis Carroll.
